The company adds Fairmount Raffles Hotels and Best Western International as buyers of its TruLink media gateway.

Cables to Go announced two new hospitality customers who will rely on the company’s TruLink Media Gateway for their connectivity panel needs. Last month, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, the parent of the Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel hotels announced they are using Cables To Go’s gateway in over 10,000 guestrooms. This month the Dayton, Ohio-based company announced that Best Western International, the world’s largest hotel chain, is also purchasing the connectivity panels for its many of its properties, which total 4,000 and contains 300,000 guest rooms.

The TruLink Media Gateway connects a guest’s mobile devices to the in-room TV by detecting the port being used and it selects the HDMI input, transmitting the content. According to the company, users can connect laptops, portable media devices, DVD or Blu-ray players, gaming consoles and other equipment to the rooms HD TV.

The TruLink also provides a USB port that users can use to connect their smartphones and MP3 players to the gateway for charging. The device’s connection ports are HDMI, VGA, composite video, 3.5 mm audio, USB, Apple devices, MP3 players and power receptacles, the company states.

According to Cables To Go, the TruLink Media Gateway can be customized to the look of the room and can be installed in the wall or furniture, or just used as a desktop device. Firmware is also upgradable remotely.
