Extron is cranking out another interesting audio enhancement. The company’s DMP 128 Digital Matrix Processor is a 12x8 audio mixer that includes Extron ProDSP, automixing, and I/O expansion capabilities.
It’s also available with Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), which promises crystal-clear sound—even to far-end participants.
Designed for presentation and conferencing applications, the DMP 128 delivers advanced matrix mixing with DSP. It also promises simplified mixing, routing, conferencing, and room optimization, as well as an easy install via the included DSP Configurator Software.
“The DMP 128 is our latest ProDSP processor, offering what our customers have been requesting: a larger 12x8 audio matrix mixer and acoustic echo cancellation,” says Casey Hall, Extron’s VP of sales and marketing. “Extron AEC employs advanced processing engineered for robust, dependable echo cancellation in videoconference scenarios, and is very easy to set up and configure within the user-friendly DSP Configurator Software.”
Hall also says that the DMP 128 has an expansion port. That’s a nice perk, allowing two DMP 128 units to be linked for use with larger systems.
Two DMP 128 models are available: the DMP 128 C and DMP 128 C P. Both include eight independent channels of AEC and selectable noise cancellation. The DMP 128 C P model also has analog phone interfacing with POTS line and phone connections.
